Welcome to Mailazine. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our email reading application.
Mailazine is an email client for iOS that connects to your email account (such as Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo) and displays your emails in a magazine-style reading format. You can read emails, mark them as read, and delete them from within the app.
All email data stays on your device. Mailazine processes and stores your email content, attachments, metadata, and account credentials entirely on your device in a local database. No personal data or email content is ever transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.
The following information is accessed and stored only on your device in a local database and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
All communication between the app and your email provider (such as Gmail) occurs over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections directly from your device to the provider's servers. Your email data is never routed through our servers.
The following information is sent from your device to third-party services we use for analytics and crash reporting:
These analytics and crash reports do not contain any email content, email addresses, account credentials, or the substance of your communications.
We use analytics and crash reporting data solely to:
We do not sell your data. We will never sell, rent, or trade any of your information — including analytics data — to third parties.
When you connect a Gmail account, Mailazine requests the gmail.modify scope through the Google API. This permission allows the app to:
All email data retrieved through the Google API is processed and stored entirely on your device in a local database and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Mailazine's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
Your email data is stored in a local database on your device, protected by your device's built-in security features including device encryption and biometric authentication. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's keychain.
All network communications — including email fetching from your email provider and analytics/crash report transmission — are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Email data is stored in a local database on your device. You can remove this data by signing out of your email account within the app or by deleting the app, which removes all locally stored email data and credentials from your device.
Analytics and crash reporting data is retained by Statsig and Sentry in accordance with their respective data retention policies and is used only for the purposes described in this policy.
Mailazine uses the following third-party services:
You can disconnect your email account from Mailazine at any time by signing out within the app, which removes your account credentials and cached email data from your device.
For Gmail accounts, you can also revoke Mailazine's access from your Google Account permissions page. If you revoke access through Google, Mailazine will no longer be able to sync new emails, but previously cached email data will remain on your device until you sign out within the app or delete the app.
Mailazine is available internationally. Your email data is stored locally on your device and is not transferred to our servers. However, analytics and crash reporting data (including your IP address) may be processed by Statsig and Sentry on servers located in the United States or other countries.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis for collecting analytics and crash reporting data is our legitimate interest in improving the app and fixing errors. You have the right to:
